About Us

Three Grandmas. One Kitchen. A Lifetime of Love.

Ciao. We’re Maria, Lucia, and Teresa three Italian grandmas living in New York who believe the heart of every home is the kitchen. Welcome to Nonna’s Dishes, our little corner of the internet where generations of tradition, flavor, and love come together.

How It All Began

Our story started decades ago at a community potluck in Queens. Each of us brought something from our family tables: Maria’s lasagna, Lucia’s eggplant parmigiana, and Teresa’s biscotti. We traded recipes, shared memories, and quickly realized we had more in common than our food. A friendship was born and with it, a tradition.

Since that day, we’ve gathered every Sunday to cook, laugh, and reminisce. Over the years, those gatherings became more than just meals. They became a way to preserve our heritage and pass on the values and flavors we grew up with.

Why We Started This Site

As our families grew and times changed, we wanted a way to keep our recipes alive not just for our children and grandchildren, but for anyone searching for comfort in a home-cooked dish. Nonna’s Dishes is our way of sharing what we know, what we’ve lived, and what we continue to learn in the kitchen.

Our mission is simple:
To share real, heartfelt Italian recipes that honor the past while embracing the present.
