About Us
Three Grandmas, One Kitchen, and a Whole Lot of Love

Ciao! We’re Maria, Lucia, and Teresa three grandmas living in New York who believe that the heart of every home is the kitchen. Welcome to Nonna’s Dishes, our little corner of the internet where we share the recipes that have flavored our lives.
Our story began decades ago at a community potluck in Queens. Each of us brought a dish from our Italian heritage: Maria’s lasagna, Lucia’s eggplant parmigiana, and Teresa’s biscotti. We exchanged plates, stories, and laughter, and a beautiful friendship was born. Since then, we’ve been gathering every Sunday, cooking, reminiscing, and cherishing the joy that comes from a shared meal.
As our families grew and the world changed around us, we realized the importance of preserving our cherished recipes and the memories they carry. That’s why we started nonnasdishes.com—to pass down the flavors, traditions, and love that have been the cornerstone of our lives.
Here, you’ll find time-honored recipes straight from our family kitchens. From handmade gnocchi to slow-simmered Sunday sauces, each dish is a testament to the rich tapestry of our Italian roots and the love we pour into every meal.
So, pull up a chair, grab a cup of espresso, and join us at our virtual kitchen table. Whether you’re a seasoned cook or just starting out, we hope our stories and recipes bring warmth to your home and inspire you to create your own culinary memories.
With love and buon appetito,
Maria, Lucia & Teresa
